Julie M. Pan, M.D, is a physician licensed by the Medical Board of California. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry. She completed both her undergraduate and medical education at Brown University. Afterwards, she moved to Chicago and completed her general psychiatry residency at McGaw Medical Center/Northwestern University. She then completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at University of Chicago where she served as Chief Fellow. 

Dr. Pan has been working at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services for nearly twenty years as a staff psychiatrist. She provides diagnostic evaluations, consultations, medication management, and psychotherapy for university undergraduate and graduate students of varying ages and diverse backgrounds. The students present with a wide range of diagnosis and issues. She is an active member of their UCLA CAPS ADHD Clinic. She is also a supervisor for psychiatry fellows in the UCLA CAPS Student Mental Health Fellowship Program. 

At her private practice, Dr. Pan enjoys helping children, adolescents, and young adults develop effective coping skills and improve their functioning, so that they can feel confident and more successful as they attend college or pursue other endeavors. Dr. Pan also enjoys helping adults find balance in their busy lives among their careers, relationships, and various activities/life demands, to improve their overall well being.  She has clinical expertise in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, eating disorders, insomnia, adjustment reactions to transitions and stress, cultural, women, and relationship issues among other conditions. She is compassionate, empathic, and dedicated to listening to and working with her patients, to determine the best individualized treatment for them.
